Pipeline board showing sales accounts as cards across stages with deal value and next step

CHALLENGE

Deals went quiet

A small sales team keeps its accounts in a spreadsheet, or in one person's head. Nobody can see which deals have gone quiet, so a lead that needed a reply four days ago sits there while someone chases a fresher one. Every salesperson tracks their own next steps their own way, and when one of them is off for a week, their accounts stop moving.

APPROACH

One board, three views

Every account is one row, with its contacts, its activity history and its documents hanging off it. The team can look at that same set of accounts as a board they drag cards across, as a list grouped by stage, or as a sortable table. The stages themselves live in a table the team edits, so they can rename a stage or add a new one from the board without anyone touching code.

The bookkeeping underneath looks after itself. Someone marks a call done and the account's last-touched date and its quiet-day count both move on their own. Someone drags a card to a new stage and the date of that move is recorded. Nobody maintains a single one of those fields by hand.

OUTCOME

Deals stop slipping

Every account carries the date it was last touched and the number of days it has been quiet, and the board flags any account that has been quiet longer than its stage allows. The team can open one screen and see which deals need a reply today.

Each card also carries its own next step in plain words, so anyone can pick up a colleague's accounts while they are away. The person running the business can see what is in play, what it is worth and what is stalling, without asking anyone for a status update.

The whole team can share the same board and see the same numbers, whoever made the last change.
